Visible Image ~ Tomorrow....

Good morning! Monday again!! I am delighted to be sharing a card with you today created for [Visible Image]

I am really enjoying creating backgrounds with the fabulous range of paints and special mediums from DecoArt teamed together with the fabulous images from Visible Image what more can you ask for !!!

First of all I created a background using Black Gesso and washi tape followed by some random stencilling. I coloured some of the Texture Sand Paste with Pyrrole Red acrylic paint.

I painted over most of the texture paste to help push it into the background. using media fluid acrylic paints.

Once everything was dried I spritzed the background with DecoArt media Misters..

Then getting quite lost in the process.. again ! I forgot to take photographs.. I added some clear crackle glaze over the top of the texture sand paste and ink drips to see what would happen.. I LOVE the result..

I just had to show you a glorious close up !

 Gorgeous textures and crackle !

 My finished card..

Does it get any better !!

I stamped directly onto the background using stamps from the [Tomorrow Doesn't Exist] stamp set.. masked the girl and added some ink splats and glittery swirly doodles !

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Tando Creative ~ Anything Goes!

Happy Sunday!

I am delighted to be sharing an altered book box with you today over on the Tando Creative blog [HERE!]

First thing to do was to design a layout of chipboard pieces, this was so much fun! I've included pieces from the [3 clocks in 1] set, a lock from the [Locks and Latches] set, a heart from a [Grab Bag of Hearts], four of the gorgeous arrows from the [Arrows Grab Bag] and pieces of one of the fabulous [Lace effect borders].

I then added some textured stencilling through the [Letters] mask and also the [Sequin Waste Mask] so much fun!

Everything was glued into place and given a generous coating of white [Gesso]

While this was drying I added scrunched up paper to the spine using [Matte Medium]

I added as much texture as possible!

Once everything was thoroughly dry I set about painting the box with a few chosen colours, [Primary Yellow], [Green Gold], [Cobalt Teal Hue] and [Quinacridone Magenta]

Then...................... getting LOST in the PROCESS !! My photographing ceased !!!!!!

And for a while everything turned pretty ugly !!!!!

After too-ing and fro-ing with [Titanium White], [Carbon Black] and even a little [Gold Metallic] paint.. I was happy !

A couple of butterflies were added to the finished dry book box for decoration and embellishment from the [Butterfly Grab Bag] they were treated to a delicious coating of Stampendous [Spoonful of GOLD DUST] and [Aged Rose Embossing Enamels] oh my goodness they are so yummy!

Oh !!!! Those textures shine through !!

Love the brush strokes on the spine!

Such a fun project! Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Poppin' good fun !

I am delighted to be sharing a postcard with you today over at [what's up roc]

First of all, I gave the postcard a coating of DecoArt white Gesso and while it was drying picked out a few colours to work with..

Once dried I added some collage paper scraps to the postcard to make it more sturdy for posting..

And then the fun began.. creating a background using some of my favourite DecoArt colours ♥

Once dried I added a few doodles and some of the gorgeous crackle glaze from DecoArt..

The crackles soon started to appear !!

The sentiment is computer generated.. the [Screaming Bunny] is a wood mounted rubber stamp by [Roc Nicolas] available from [Stampotique Originals]

isn't he just the BEST!

Visible Image ~ Be your own kind of Beautiful ♥

I am delighted to be sharing a postcard creation with you today for [Visible Image]

Have you visited their online shop just lately, it's super fast!!

I created a background using some of the highly pigmented DecoArt Fluid Acrylic paints in Titanium White, Primary Yellow, Green Gold, Cobalt Teal Hue, Pyrrole Red, Quinacridone Magenta and Carbon Black..

And set about creating a rough urban graffiti style background..

I stamped the butterfly from the [Own Kind Of Beautiful] stamp set directly onto the postcard then again onto black cardstock.. the butterfly was fussy cut, and decorated with glitter glue.. always add some sparkle !! The butterfly was made to stand up right on the postcard as though it had just landed !

I stamped and embossed the sentiment and hearts directly onto the postcard and added some doodles and more glitter !!

Finished postcard..

Tando Creative ~ Colour Theme

I am delighted to be sharing a creation with you today over on the [Tando Creative] blog using the latest colour theme..

 Totally gorgeous colours ♥

I have decorated one of the [Door Hangers] that comes in a set of two..

First of all I set about choosing the paints and chipboard embellishments to decorate the hanger..

Colours chosen were Dark Chocolate, Spiced Pumpkin, [Cobalt Teal] and [Titanium White]

Everything was given a coat of [White Gesso] and the embellishments were set to one side while I created a background on the hanger using brown and orange along with a gorgeous little [Brick - Mini Mask]

work in progress !

Then I got a bit lost in the process and forgot to take step by step photographs but here are a few close-ups !

As you can see I had fun creating a messy background including a few paint splats !!

The butterflies were painted using teal and white acrylics then embossed using white embossing powder.

The flowers were painted in the same colours and finished off with a delightful sprinkling of glitter from the [Frantage White Jewel Kit]

I am in SERIOUS  'L O V E'  ♥♥♥

What better way than to finish the door hanger but with the perfect sentiment from Visible Image 'sparkle' from the [Sparkle In The Rain] set..

Here is the finished door hanger..

Visible Image ~ Sparkle! ...

.... even in the rain! Especially, in the rain !!

Happy Monday and good morning! It is my turn today to share a creation with you for [Visible Image].

Today, I am sharing a project working with one of their FABULOUS, ORIGINAL [Monoliths].

Visible Image were the first retailers to bring these great products to us back in February of this year and I am delighted to be sharing my project with you today.

The monoliths are free standing superb quality, laser cut MDF boards which come with a separate base plate which makes posting easy. They are double sided too and they come in a pack of five. They make the perfect gift ♥

I gave the monolith a coating of white Gesso followed by a couple of the DecoArt Media Fluid acrylic paint colours in Cobalt Teal Hue and Titanium White. I tried not to blend the colours too much so they would look like a sheet of rain.. the base plate was given a random coating of paint to look like a puddle..

I stamped directly onto the monolith using acrylic paint and once the paint dried I embossed the sentiment from the [Sparkle In The Rain] set.

Then stamped the silhouette woman with umbrella also onto the monolith. I wanted to add some texture to her umbrella so stamped it again onto a piece of plain paper, fussy cut and creased it up a bit then added it over the top of the umbrella already stamped onto the monolith.

I then masked the sentiment and woman while I gave the monolith a generous spritz of clear texture spray.. see below..

The edges of the monolith were treated to some Distress Ink adding some contrast.

I then grounded the image with a black water colour pencil, once dry I assembled the monolith.

♥ Finished monolith ♥

This was such a fun project to work on! Can't wait to share another monolith with you soon.

Tando Creative ~ Anything Goes!

Happy Sunday!

I am delighted to be sharing a project today over at the [Tando Creative] blog.

All this week the Design Team having been having fun with the 'Anything Goes' challenge theme.. I decided to decorate the inside front journal cover of the [Ministry of Mixology Kate Crane Journal] I've been working on.. you can see the front cover [HERE]

First of all I glued some random pieces of plan paper to the journal page using [Clear Matte Medium]

Next I added a layer of [White Gesso] and stamped various stamps around the edges to create a border from my lovely friend [Roc Nicolas]

Then I set about choosing the colour palette..

Once dry I added some stencilling to the journal cover using Andy Skinner's [Burning Rubber] stencil and also the [Sequin Waste] mask and some of the DecoArt fluid acrylic paint.

While this layer was drying I picked out [Carbon Black] and [Pyrrole Red]
to add a contrast to the page..

I also couldn't resist adding some [Clear Crackle Glaze] inside the black circles!!

I noticed the washi tape kept peeling so I gave it a coating of [Clear Matte Medium] et voila!

close ups of the crackles ! I could hardly wait...

The texture is lovely and so tactile..

Last of all I added a central image to the page as a focal point..
(stamp by Trish Latimer available from [The Artistic Stamper])

 My finished inside cover..

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance. So nice of you to pop by my blog.

Tando Creative ~ Dream house!

Happy Friday!

I am delighted to be sharing a project with you today over at the [Tando Creative] blog using products by [Nathalie Kalbach] and [Andy Skinner] all tied perfectly together with the gorgeous Media Line paints by [DecoArt] and a couple of their specialist products.

First of all I covered one of Tando's [Mixed Media Boards] with white [Gesso]

Then I randomly chose some scraps of pattered paper

I glued the papers to the mixed media board using [Clear Matte Medium]

Media Fluid Acrylic paints by [DecoArt]

Once the background was dried I worked some of the Titanium white paint through Andy Skinner's [Burning Rubber] stencil and also Tando Creative's [Sequin Waste Mask]

I added a drizzle of ink from a Media Mister bottle in [Primary Magenta] and let it run down the mixed media board then I got to work mixing [Phthalo Turquoise] and [Quinacridone Violet]
into the very scrumptious [Texture Sand Paste]

Whilst everything was drying I added some doodles and dots..

Before adding the main focal point to the mixed media board I  randomly added scoops of [Clear Crackle Glaze]

Here is a close - up of the texture sand paste and the clear crackle glaze ♥

While everything was drying I painted, stamped and embossed a heart from the [Grab Bag of Hearts] using some of the gorgeous [Aged Rose Embossing Enamel] from Stampendous ♥

Nathalie Kalbach [Urban Cling 3 piece] was then stamped onto dictionary paper over the word building! This is just part of the Urban Cling stamp.. I choose the house I wanted and added the word [DREAM] from IndigoBlu ♥

Here is the finished project..

Thank you for taking the time to look through the step by step. I am absolutely loving working with the products from DecoArt and can't wait to share more projects with you.

Have a great weekend. Gez xx
