Thank You...

so very, very much for all your kind & caring & heartfelt messages sent regarding the sad loss of Mr Glenn.

Always in our hearts...

Goodness, it's felt strange all day today... & I cooked way too many vegetables & pasta tonight!

I indulged in a little painting (I use the term painting very loosely!) when Tom (3) finally fell asleep tonight at 10.45pm ggrrr...

My messy art journal pages..... I know something's missing...
something is definately missing!.......

It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life. My Dad is wheelchair/housebound & Glenn has been his constant companion since my Mum passed away 2 years ago & to take Glenn away yesterday broke my heart. I can't thank the lovely young vet & her assistant enough who kindly offered to put Glenn to sleep in the car so he didn't have to endure going inside the vets.. never one of his 'favourite' places to visit!!

The vet said Glenn had done well to reach such a good age.

We're spending as much time as we can with my Dad. Promise to catch up soon.xx

  14. Hello Gez, Heather told me about Mr Glenn today, so I wanted to add my condolences too. All of us who have lost faithful furry friends know exactly how you are feeling just now - is anything so special as the unconditional love that they give to us so willingly? I hope your dad is holding up throughout such a sad time.
I'm about to try to add your blog to my bloglist again as it keeps refusing for some reason. Will keep trying! Love, Lindsay & David x x x

  17. Sounds like the vet and assistant are more than good at their jobs - bless them. Beautiful journal pages too Gez, hope the crafting is giving you something positive to do in the immediate gap of Glenn's departure. Hope your dad is not feeling too lost, either.
