Something for the weekend..

What a weekend! It seems so long ago already that I went to Lindsay Mason's fantastic shadow box workshop... here is my finished box... I had in mind a pink theme.. but as they say keep an open mind!!

My box wouldn't be complete without a little Stampotique.. I just love the friend sentiment & it got me thinking.. A friend is one who can touch your heart from across the world or across the room or even across your configuration box!! & my dear friend She was sat right next too me.. what a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in the company of crafty buddies..

It was lovely to meet up with Lindsay & see her fantastic Atc house of cards & spend some time with David.. who is always happy to lend a hand. One of the nicest surprises was to meet up with Joanne who had kindly brought along her fabulous configuration box from her Artsycrafts workshop.. Lindsay had also brough her canvas's from Stitches so we were well & truly spoiled.. alas, it was over all too quickly... thank you everyone for a most WONDERFUL afternoon.. one I shall enjoy remembering for a long time..xxxx

Here is my box..complete with host & hostess!!

I think Toby would climb mountains for his sweet girl!

my box is filled with lots of little goodies & treasures collected from memorable days out at the seaside.. gosh, this box was sooooo much fun to decorate & fill..

a bit difficult to get some decent photos... I see the little bead dragonfly has tried to escape!..it should be hanging up! DS tape obviously isn't strong enough!

Breathe... something I need to do!....

Beautiful shells DD has collected from the beach :)

Stampotique Originals stamps used..  A friend's touch, Toby, Minkygirl & Midge (in my box...did you spot her!

Thank you for calling today & leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Special thanks for everyone's kind comments on my last post.. I am always nervous posting journal pages.. I am always my own worst critic! Thank you for your support.xx

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend & happy crafting. Love Gez

  8. Oh my this is SO beautiful !!! Love it love it love it :D That of course in itself is nothing new, because you make pretty things all the time ! You are one talented gal :D We should get together one time, really. I got a guestroom with your name on it ;)
To answer your question : yes i make my own "washi" tape. I just use wide double sided tape and the top layer of napkins and silk paper (i dont know if you know it by that name tbh). I started doing it because i really love washi tape, but i think the prices are outragous. Click here for all the tapes i made : http://creations-blog.blogspot.com/search/label/Washi-Tape
Btw, did i mention already that i love your blog header, makes me happy. Imagine living in such a colourful village, bliss :D
